EgyptAir has received its first of 16 Airbus A350‑900 aircraft, becoming the launch operator for the type in North Africa. The new wide‑body will modernise the carrier’s long‑haul fleet, enabling nonstop routes from Cairo to the US West Coast and North Asia, and features a two‑class cabin with 30 business suites and 310 economy seats. Powered by next‑generation Rolls‑Royce engines and lightweight materials, the A350‑900 offers a 25% reduction in fuel burn, operating costs and CO₂ emissions, and can already run on up to 50% sustainable aviation fuel. This delivery expands EgyptAir’s existing Airbus fleet of A320neos, A321neos and A330s, supporting its network growth and sustainability goals.
