China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) is a large state-owned high-tech enterprise established on July 1, 1999, as part of the restructuring of China’s defense science and technology industry, authorized and managed directly by the central government. With roots tracing back to 1956, CASC is responsible for the development, production, and testing of various aerospace products, such as launch vehicles, application satellites, crewed spacecraft, and deep space probes, as well as strategic and tactical missile systems.
