Serica Energy plc is an oil and gas exploration, development and production company with activities in Europe and Africa. The Company has built a portfolio of properties, striking a balance between hydrocarbon-producing basins, where the chances of success are high, and untested basins where success is less certain but the rewards of success are more significant. Serica has the full range of exploration expertise, from undertaking seismic operations through to drilling the exploration and appraisal wells. The Company utilises sophisticated technical and seismic analysis to identify prospects and manages the exploration risk where necessary through the identification of farm-in partners or cross-assignments. Serica has operated seventeen offshore wells since 2004 and has proven operating capability. Ten of these were exploration wells and seven appraisal or development wells.
