About Top Tier

Top Tier is an automotive fuel standards program developed and overseen by leading car manufacturers and administered by the Center for Quality Assurance. The program sets high-quality fuel performance and detergency standards for gasoline and diesel, and is implemented worldwide through participating fuel retailers and licensed brands. It aims to ensure optimal engine performance and cleanliness by promoting Top Tier-branded fuels at stations across North America and select countries in the Americas. The organization provides resources for retailers, OEMs, fleets, and consumers and maintains a station finder and technical publications to support ongoing compliance and awareness.
