Relying on AI Tweaks Erodes Genuine Design Skill

I can't not post this meme, but there's a real question behind it: When does it become truly detrimental to hand taste decisions to a model? If you've already built up scar tissue and design sense through lots of previous work, giving a sketch to a model and then tweaking the result might be fine. But if turn that into a habit, when do you get the opportunity to build new design sense? I don't think you can build it through reviewing generated output, in the same way I don't think you can effectively build coding skill by reviewing generated code. I think the pressure to gloss over the results and move on is too great.
