Hong Kong’s New T2 Departures Facility to Open in May
The Airport Authority Hong Kong announced that the departure facilities at Terminal 2 will begin operations on May 27, 2026. The rollout follows a phased commissioning that started with the Coach Hall in September 2025 and aligns with expected summer travel demand. The new T2 area will host around 15 short‑haul carriers and feature smart check‑in integrated with the Airport Express link. The expansion also adds a Coach Hall with 41 parking bays serving over 110 Greater Bay Area destinations.
