Conifex Announces Secured Term Loan with BDC Under the Softwood Lumber Guarantee Program
Conifex Timber’s subsidiary Conifex Mackenzie Forest Products secured a $19 million term loan from the Business Development Bank of Canada under the Softwood Lumber Guarantee Program. The loan carries a floating rate equal to BDC’s base rate less 0.60 % and permits interest‑only payments through August 2028, with maturity in July 2033. Proceeds are being used to retire a bridge loan and fund working capital as the company ramps up its recently‑restarted sawmill to two‑shift operations in the second half of 2026. Conifex will release its Q4 2025 results on March 13, 2026.
