Reson8 Collects €5M to Develop Europe-Focused Speech AI
Amsterdam‑based Reson8 announced a €5 million pre‑seed round led by Balderton Capital to develop hyper‑customised speech‑recognition technology for Europe. The startup’s approach uses lightweight modular adapters that ingest contextual data—documents, calendars, websites—to tailor acoustic models in real time without added latency. By building its own European infrastructure, Reson8 aims to address the accuracy drop‑off seen in generic ASR systems across the continent’s many languages and dialects. The funding will expand infrastructure, accelerate model development, and grow the team for launch across 20+ languages.
