Horses Devs Accuse Epic of Making "Provably Incorrect Statements About the Game’s Content", After Store Exec's Declaration of Love

Epic Games reaffirmed that the horror title Horses breaches its Inappropriate Content and Hateful or Abusive Content policies, resulting in an adult‑only (AO) rating that the Epic Store does not support. Santa Ragione contends Epic’s statements about the game’s content are factually wrong and that the platform has not provided the alleged IARC certificate. Vice‑president Steve Allison explained that Epic’s trust‑and‑safety team re‑rated the game, triggering the ban, while the developer accused Epic of ghosting them. Although Horses generated enough sales to repay its development loan, the dispute forced the studio to suspend operations.
