Three AI Glasses Tiers: Ultra-Light, Middle, Heavyweight Picks
I did a live stream over on LinkedIn this morning on another show and saw @auradeluxe asked me what my latest thinking on AI-driven glasses are. For me, it splits up into three different categories: 1. Ultra-lightweights Where @EvenRealities are the best designed. Disrupter @MentraGlass that is more open, just started shipping. Small green and black displays. The Meta Raybans with displays are OK, although don't work on my eyes at all, so I'm still bitter and avoiding ($800 is better spent on a middleweight). The Meta ones have a small 20-degree monitor in your right eye. 2. Middleweights These are great for business travelers. There @XREAL_Global is the best, although I'm using the @getVITURE glasses right now and they are pretty good. Put a much better color display up in front of you, at a slight cost of weight and needing a cord. 3. Heavyweights Like Meta Quest 3 or Apple Vision Pro. In this category, the Apple Vision Pro is the best. But is still too heavy for me most of the time, and too dorky to use during my video calls/interviews with people unless I'm face to face and using it to record. The ones I'm waiting for are the Google ones coming later this year and Apple ones, expected next year. Meta expected to come out too. Those will take on the ultra lightweights and middleweights and provide full augmented reality, which will make a lot of sense as World Models continue cooking over the next year.
