It's more common than you think. A woman gets a faint positive on a pregnancy test, starts telling family, and then bleeds four days later. This is called a chemical pregnancy. And most OBs will say "it was just a chemical pregnancy" like it was nothing. A chemical pregnancy means the embryo briefly implanted, produced just enough hCG to trigger a positive test, and then couldn't sustain. Rather than dismissing it as bad luck, it's worth asking what the uterine environment may have been missing. Not enough progesterone? Poor blood flow to the uterus? Poor immune tolerance? There are factors your doctor can actually evaluate and in some cases address. But if your doctor dismisses it as "normal," you'll never look deeper.
