
Critical Strait of Hormuz: Multiple Attacks Slash Transits
The @CMF_Bahrain Joint Maritime Information Center's has released their new advisory for the Strait of Hormuz as of 1 March 2026. The situation is deemed CRITICAL. They had three confirmed incidents in the past 24 hours: 1️⃣SKYLIGHT at anchor south of Hormuz, abandoned and on fire with 4 casaulties 2️⃣MKD VYOM a crude oil tanker stuck by a projectile off Oman. One crew member died in the engine room as reported by V.Ships Asia. 3️⃣SEA LA DONNA also has reported an attack 4️⃣The @UK_MTO has another, HERCULES STAR has been hit in the Gulf and has a fire onboard. They are reporting Strait transits down from 138 to 110 in the past 24 hours. There is significant GPS interference and spoofing. Steamship Mutual has announced cancellatioon previous WAR RISK coverage 72 hours after 0000 March 1 UTC. The risk remains high for ships but Iran has NOT issued a formal closure of the Strait. JMIC has the threat level at Moderate, indicating an attack is possible but not likely.
