Big Tech Drives Over One‑Third of S&P 500 Value
The seven largest U.S. tech firms—Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta and Tesla—collectively account for more than one‑third of the S&P 500’s market cap, and their soaring free‑cash‑flow growth and record R&D spending have become the primary engine of index returns.
