It's interesting how I meet so many generalists (typically founders and business owners) who outperform specialists in multiple different fields. A good example is marketers. A lot of founders who had to learn to sell their own products (the hard way) end up greatly outperforming "experts" with a marketing degree. I see this time and time again.
