Impending Unitree IPO Could Spark Robotics Investment Boom

A huge robotics bubble forming? Learned last night at the @1x_tech party from an investor that @UnitreeRobotics is preparing a public offering, but that USA investors are being rebuffed. The guy I talked to wanted to put in $200 million and he didn't even get a reply. The Chinese are only letting people favorable to Chinese government in before it goes public. Rumors are that they are going to price it somewhere at about $7 billion. We both agree it could get way more than that. "Will you buy once it is on the public market?" "Of course." But if it sees a huge public offering, like we both are expecting, that could drive up investments in other robotics firms like @Figure_robot, @Tesla, @kscalelabs, @foundation_robo, and others. They are expected to go public sometime by the end of the year. I feel the same. Excitement is in the air in robotics and it's about to get a lot more attention. Tesla has started running up a bit this week. Near all time highs. Lots of people can't figure out why, because on sales it shouldn't be running. This is why. The big money wants into robotics companies, particularly those who are credible at building humanoids, in a big way. (Rumor being passed around the party last night is that 1x_tech raised a billion. And it is too early to see it as a bubble but it is about to get a lot more frothy.
