Scania pilots megawatt‑scale V2G for heavy‑duty electric trucks
Scania demonstrated one of the first vehicle‑to‑grid systems for heavy‑duty electric trucks using the Megawatt Charging System (MCS). The pilot showed bi‑directional power flow, allowing trucks parked at depots to feed electricity back to the grid, with real‑time communication between the truck, charger and energy‑management platform enabling dynamic charging and discharging. The test marks a step toward integrating large‑capacity EVs into grid balancing.

Trendsetter Installs Tethered BOP for Deepwater U.S. Gulf Well Stability
Trendsetter Vulcan Offshore (TVO) has installed a tethered blowout preventer (TBOP) system in approximately 4,000 ft of water in the U.S. Gulf, using a modified Hercules™ technology to combat wellhead fatigue on soft‑seabed sites. The TBOP employs four polyethylene tethers anchored to suction‑pile foundations, stabilizing the BOP stack and diverting loads away from the wellhead. This configuration allowed completion operations to proceed on a high‑risk well that would otherwise have faced significant operational delays. TVO says the deployment proves that proven subsea designs can be customized for site‑specific challenges.
