Nissan explores subleasing idle Sunderland capacity to Chinese partner Chery
Japanese automaker Nissan has entered talks with Chinese manufacturer Chery to sublease unused production capacity at its Sunderland plant in the UK. The facility can build up to 200,000 vehicles a year but is currently operating below full utilization. Neither company has confirmed a final agreement.
