Blacklane’s Premium Valet Service Fills Uber’s Gap
Blacklane a highly predictable experience, but it doesn't do real-time pickups (nor should it, since it's for special use cases) 1. I use it exclusively at the Austin airport because they are allowed to park closer to the terminal, and they come help with the bags. 2. I have also used it 2x to drive from SF to Tahoe... because the car type is basically the top 10% of Uber Black cars. If you're in the car for three hours, you want it to be the most comfortable and new car. 3. It shines in some international cities. This is a fantastic acquisition for Uber... because this use case doesn't fit into robotaxis, since the driver is also a valet to help with bags.
