UAE‑based digital bank Zand has signed a strategic partnership with Ripple to accelerate the nation’s digital economy through stablecoin and blockchain solutions. The collaboration will integrate Ripple’s USD‑backed stablecoin (RLUSD) into Zand’s regulated custody platform and explore a direct liquidity bridge with Zand’s AED‑backed stablecoin (AEDZ). Both parties are also evaluating the issuance of AEDZ on the XRP Ledger to leverage its compliance framework. The initiative aligns with the UAE’s goal to double the digital economy’s share of non‑oil GDP by 2032.
