
Press Release: EASA Warns Operators to Avoid Middle East Airspace
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued a Conflict Zone Information Bulletin (CZIB) warning operators to avoid the entire airspace of the Middle East and Persian Gulf at all altitudes, following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran. The advisory, valid until 2 March 2026, covers Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. EASA cites advanced air‑defence systems, cruise and ballistic missiles, and heightened misidentification risk as reasons for the high threat level.
