Make AI a Force for Good in Schools

Artificial intelligence is rapidly entering K‑12 classrooms, but many AI‑powered edtech tools lack research backing and risk widening inequities. The Advanced Education Research and Development Fund, together with the Alliance for Learning Innovation and Education First, released *Proof Before Hype* and launched the AI × Coherence Academy to guide districts toward coherent, evidence‑based adoption. The Academy stresses aligning AI with existing instructional goals, defining clear use cases, and building trust through co‑design with educators and families. It also outlines guardrails around safety, privacy, bias, and efficacy to keep AI a force for good.
