Inligo Networks has appointed Australian fiber specialist AFL as the primary cable supplier for its new Unite Cable System, a high‑capacity, low‑latency terrestrial network spanning six Australian states. The system will interconnect Darwin, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and regional hubs, eventually delivering at least 40 × 400 Gbps wavelengths per fiber pair. Deployment proceeds in stages—Stage 1 began in 2024, Stage 2 in 2025, with final regional extensions slated for 2027.
