Works Begin at State-Owned, Forest-Based Wind Farm – Starting with Five Firefighting Water Tanks

Victoria’s State Electricity Commission (SEC) has begun preliminary works at the Delburn Wind Farm, installing five 130,000‑litre firefighting water tanks as part of a broader fire‑mitigation plan. The 205 MW project, purchased for about $650 million, becomes the state’s first publicly owned utility‑scale wind farm and the first Australian wind farm built inside a pine plantation.
