
China regulator urges TV dramas to ditch beauty obsession
China’s National Radio and Television Administration warned that TV dramas are overly fixated on physical beauty and chase traffic‑driven popularity, calling for stronger acting and storytelling. The warning was issued at a conference attended by major streamers including iQIYI, Tencent Video, Mango TV and Youku.
