EMASS Pushes the Edge Further with 16nm ECS-DoT

EMASS announced its next‑generation 16 nm ECS‑DoT edge AI SoC is entering final development stages, moving toward tape‑out at TSMC. The new chip builds on the 22 nm version while adding an integrated BLE subsystem, expanded on‑chip SRAM, fine‑grained power management, a dedicated object‑detection accelerator, and FP16/FP32 floating‑point support. These enhancements preserve the ultra‑low‑power ethos and maintain software compatibility, enabling developers to scale to more demanding always‑on workloads without redesign.
