The Nutrient Density Initiative (NDI) and food‑testing firm Edacious have launched the Regen Nutrition Project, a 2024 effort that measures how regenerative farming practices affect the nutrient profile of foods. More than 50 member companies and farms submit product samples to Edacious’s lab, where the nutrient content is compared against conventional retail equivalents. Early results show regenerative samples contain less fat, a healthier omega‑6 to omega‑3 balance, higher protein and no detectable heavy metals. The initiative also provides a public Nutrient Density Data Explorer to help stakeholders visualize the findings.
