Researchers Factor 551 Using Novel Feedback Quantum Control with 9 Qubits

Researchers at IISER Pune introduced FALQON, a measurement‑based feedback quantum control algorithm that factors integers without pre‑computed drive parameters. They experimentally factored the biprime 551 using a three‑qubit NMR register and demonstrated via simulation that the approach scales to nine qubits for numbers like 2,106,287.
