5 learnings from building a SaaS (after +5 years).. 1. Ship fast - and keep shipping Momentum beats perfect planning. Small releases compound. So does word of mouth. One update a day, keeps churn away. 2. Double down on what works - cut the rest Most things don't move the needle. Protect your focus. Whether it's ICP, a skill, or growth channel. Find what works and keep digging. Don’t search for new holes to dig. 3. Dare to fail big Every meaningful win came after something that felt uncomfortable. Especially when young - going all-in is cheap. And the learnings are invaluable. 4. Build it your way It’s OK not going for hyper growth, raise VC, or build an AI startup. Don't do things because you should, or could. Align your company with your own goals. This month, I’m building from Southeast Asia and surfing in the mornings - because that’s the freedom I want (picture). 5. Aim to get 1% better every day Mistakes are OK, but repeating them is not. Try to improve something every day, and always build out systems. Stress comes from feeling stuck and not having ideas to get you to the next level. Systems help you do both.
