Cable Operators Leverage Wi‑Fi to Capture Wireless Market Share
Cable operators such as Charter and Comcast have turned their extensive Wi‑Fi networks—carrying about 90 % of mobile data—into a competitive advantage, capturing roughly one‑third of new wireless customers in Q4 2025. The bundling strategy helped consumers save an estimated $5 billion in 2025 compared with traditional wireless plans.
Proximus unveiled two strategic roadmaps – Amplify for its Belgian domestic operations and Elevate for its global business – to drive network leadership, AI‑enabled efficiency and higher shareholder returns. The Amplify plan focuses on nationwide gigabit fiber, copper decommissioning and AI‑driven automation, while Elevate leverages BICS, Telesign and Route Mobile to revive global EBITDA growth by 2027.
