BTS: I was hanging out with a few creators and operators last week... We discussed a few creators: MrBeast, Hormozi, Steven Bartlett (Diary of a CEO), Acquired podcast, Founders podcast, etc. When it came down to the 'audience value', the group leaned towards the @FoundersPodcast or the @AcquiredFM. Why? The average net worth of the listener is much higher than the other audiences mentioned. MrBeast might get 330M views per video, but his average viewer age is 11 years old, which means most of his viewers have limited purchasing power. The type of people who listen to the Founders podcast? Dell founder Michael Dell, 8x Billion dollar company founder Brad Jacobs, CAA founder Michael Ovitz, and more. Obviously, it depends on what you're selling, but if we had to choose an audience we'd sponsor, it'd be podcasts like Founders and Acquired. P.S. if you want any evidence of audience value, Acquired charges roughly $2M per quarter to be the premier sponsor while charging $1.875M to be a midroll sponsor.

Don’t chase shortcuts. Take “black hat” tactics and flip them white, build real relationships with quality sites for links. Brands win by playing the long game with trust and authority. That’s how you rise above the noise. https://t.co/t7IwE1BzZ4

There are so many products I would buy if the vendor just said "I'll do all the work for you" Instead, they all want to tell me why they are 10x better
What's more important? Who a product is for? Or who it is not for? According to recent research, saying who you are NOT for may be stronger. "When a product advertises who it's not suitable for (e.g. an adventure holiday package saying it's "Not...

I’ve been working on an article about why tech still misunderstands marketing. The deeper I go, the less it feels like a problem of tactics. It feels like a problem of trust between what teams build and what customers believe. Marketers who’ve worked...

I think at least twice a week, "Someone needs to make a Twitter/Threads/Bluesky purely about work and business." LinkedIn won't. Their product team is 12 overworked people surrounded by execs screaming "MORE AI!" at them. Threads won't. Meta doesn't know how to...
